Katherine Look, MD

Genentech

LookDr. Look currently is Senior Medical Director for Avastin Medical Affairs at Genentech, a member of the Roche Group. She is responsible for oversight of post registration gynecologic cancer trials, and collaborates with colleagues in early and late development.

She completed her Fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She has held academic positions at  the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at University of Medicine Dentistry New Jersey (1986-88) and then Indiana University School of Medicine (1988-2010). She has served as Principal Investigator for the GOG while at Indiana University.

Her current professional memberships include Society of Gynecologic Oncology, American Society Clinical Oncology  and the European Society Medical Oncology.

Awareness

Vaccine efficacy against vulvar infection with HPV 16/18 was comparable to the efficacy found against cervical infection 4 years after vaccination, according to researchers with the National Cancer Institute.
