Dr. Martino is an Associate Professor at the University of South Florida in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology.  He holds the position of Medical Director for the Minimally Invasive Robotic Surgery Program at the Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, PA.   He completed his Fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of South Florida and the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center.

Dr. Martino was awarded the AMA’s Foundation Leadership Award in 2007 and is a member of the ASCO IT Committee as well as the SGO Government Relations Committee.     He developed the first app for Robotic Surgery in 2009 and is a co-founder of “The Medicine Network.”  He has been an active volunteer and advocate for patients on HPV education through the Foundation for Women’s Cancer.

Awareness

A new SGO Clinical Practice Statement states women diagnosed with epithelial ovarian, tubal, and peritoneal cancers should be considered for genetic counseling and testing, even in the absence of a family history.
