The Foundation for Women’s Cancer (then named the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation) Chairman Dr. John L. Lewis, Jr., and Dr. Carolyn Runowitz presented the 1998 Public Service Award to Barbara Walters ABC, for her reporting on women’s issues.  The award was facilitated by Dr. Richard Barakat and was presented at ABC News Headquarters, Lincoln Square, New York City.

Awareness

Vaccine efficacy against vulvar infection with HPV 16/18 was comparable to the efficacy found against cervical infection 4 years after vaccination, according to researchers with the National Cancer Institute.
