Stepping Stone Support

ScottReneé is a cancer survivor and patient advocate.  She is Founder and Director of Stepping Stone Support, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping men and women affected by cancer and infertility.  She is an Advisory Board Member for the Stony Brook Cancer Center in New York since its inception in 2008 and serves on several committees, including the Development Advancement Committee for the Foundation For Women’s Cancer.

Reneé is a New York State certified and tenured Special Education Teacher.  She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from St. John’s University and a Masters Degree in Special Education from Long Island University.  The role she values most is of wife and mother.

Spotlight

After surviving cancer, women look for a community of support and guidance. In a video produced by the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, survivors share how they live and thrive after endometrial cancer. As described by one survivor, “You can get better.”  

Awareness

September is Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month.  After creating the month in 1999, the Foundation strives to bring attention about these cancers through public awareness campaigns.
