Golfing for the Gals is an annual golf event with the mission of raising funds to support uterine cancer awareness, research, and education. It will be held at the Governors Club in Chapel Hill NC on September 20, 2021. All funds will be donated to University of North Carolina Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center in Chapel Hill.
Lisa Milligan is a 3 year uterine cancer survivor and felt the spark to begin fundraising in 2018 upon learning uterine cancer was one of the least funded gynecologic cancers. The first fundraising event was in Sept. 2019. Due to the pandemic, it wasn’t exactly what Milligan envisioned but they were able to hold a very small event in 2020 with big hopes for 2021!
