Elizabeth Young jumps into everything she does. As an experienced skydiver, she knows the thrill and exhilaration that a jump can bring. She is also a cervical mesonephric adenocarcinoma survivor (a rare form of cervical cancer). Elizabeth is committed to empowering women to enter the sport of skydiving but also committed to increasing awareness and raising funds to help eradicate gynecologic cancers.
Elizabeth takes to the skies again this June for the 6th annual West Tennessee Skydiving SIS Boogie on June 18-20. The event is geared towards licensed jumpers, but a limited slot of tandem jumps are available. The 1990’s themed weekend also features prizes, dinner, and a lip sync battle. All proceeds benefit the Foundation for Women’s Cancer.
Elizabeth hasn’t missed a year and will be participating with her team, West Tennessee Sisters in Skydiving. This event marries her two passions; helping female skydivers to grow in the sport of skydiving and supporting gynecologic cancer research.
