Noxgear Gives Back

Categories: Foundation News

Noxgear creates obsessively engineered active-lifestyle products for people and their pets all over the world. Their best-selling products include the Tracer360 visibility vest to help runners, walkers and cyclists stay safe and highly visible to drivers under any traffic conditions, the LightHound LED dog harness that keeps canine companions visible at night, and the 39g Wearable Bluetooth Speaker.

Noxgear is headquartered in Worthington, OH and is run by a tight-knit group of family and friends. Co-founders Simon Curran and Tom Walters are two aerospace engineers who were working in advanced research and development and applied their skills and passion to build a light-up vest to illuminate players for their nighttime games of ultimate frisbee. When Simon’s wife, Sarah Curran, Chief Financial Officer of Noxgear, was personally impacted by gynecologic cancer, they were motivated to partner with FWC and learn more about the Foundation’s work and impact.

“We started Noxgear to make products that can help to save a life. When my wife Sarah was diagnosed with vulvar cancer, we benefited from the best medical advice that research had to offer, research likely advanced by FWC,” said Simon. “Contacting the FWC helped us to not feel alone. Giving back to FWC, which in essence helps to save lives, is at the core of our mission at Noxgear.”
