September is Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month (GCAM), which was established by the Foundation for Women’s Cancer (FWC) to bring awareness to cervical, ovarian, uterine/endometrial, vaginal and vulvar cancers. This year, people who have been impacted by gynecologic cancers have a variety of ways they can back FWC’s mission to support research, education and public awareness. The GCAM Toolkit will give you resources to share knowledge about gynecologic cancer symptoms, risk factors, prevention and early detection.
In honor of GCAM, you can make a difference in the lives of gynecologic cancer patients by supporting the work of the Foundation. New this year, FWC has reimagined the annual National Race to End Women’s Cancer and created the Move4Her event on Oct. 18, 2020, at 12:00 p.m. CT. National fitness celebrity Kathy Smith will host this live one-hour, fully virtual and highly interactive walking and movement event to raise crucial funds for awareness, education, outreach and research of gynecologic cancers. Instructions on how to register and create a fundraising team are available on the Move4Her website.
